Programme
The theme of the meeting is "refinement of animals surgical models". A detailed programme will follow shortly.
This conference is born from the idea that "no-one knows everything", and collaboration, especially between different cultures, can create a complete, comprehensive and exceptional body of knowledge. The Surgical Knowledge Exchange Seminar: Animal theatres - Lets go global, will provide a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise between two countries, both of which have world renowned experts in the laboratory animal field. This seminar will provide new insights on refinements and improvements to surgical animal models including but not limited to anesthesia, peri-operative care and refinements of surgical techniques in various laboratory animal species. This robust program is designed with a primary focus on delivering cutting-edge education to improve laboratory animal surgical practice, inducing global collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge, ideas and science. Gather with the world's leading professionals at this premier continuing veterinary education event.
This meeting will be geared towards personnel who are involved in all phases of laboratory animal surgery; from developing and approving protocols, to surgeons and post-operative care providers. Veterinarians, veterinary and animal technicians, scientists, and IACUC personnel are encouraged to attend.
Continuing Education Credits - This program will be submitted for approval for CE credits for veterinary technicians and veterinarians by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards Registry of Approved Continuing Education. This program will also meet CE criteria for personnel certified through American and Canadian Associations for Laboratory Animal Science.
